MilSys (UK) Ltd is named 'International Business of the Year 2008' by the Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce.  The award was presented at Eastnor Castle on Thursday evening at the Awards Gala Dinner.

The judges commented that MilSys (UK) Ltd is an excellent example of what a small business can achieve with a strong vision, clear strategy and with a little support and guidance from the Chamber.  Mike Moran, Managing Director, said "this is an impressive award for such a small company. MilSys is an excellent Company to lead, we have first class distributors and agents, superb suppliers but most of all ordinary people doing extraordinary things. We have a workforce which is dedicated to delivering excellence in every area of the business; this award speaks volumes of their efforts to thrust MilSys (UK) Ltd into a global market place".

MilSys (UK) Ltd is shortlisted for the award of 'International Business of the Year' by the Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce.

The winning company will be announced on Thursday 5th June at the Awards Gala Dinner which will be held at the spectacular Eastnor Castle, Ledbury, Herefordshire.

MilSys (UK) Ltd hosted a Medical Capabilities Study Day on 24th October 2007.  The event was heralded as a complete success by those who attended.  "The Company was able to demonstrate it's ability to support medical deployments by providing high quality equipment and delivering support services", says Mike Moran, Managing Director.  "As the UK Armed Forces become entrenched in enduring operations such as Iraq and Afghanistan they are becoming more reliant upon civilian contractors to support them.  We are ideally suited to this sort of work, we have the equipment and capabilities to make a real difference" said Scott MacCallum, Medical Projects & CBRN Capabilities Manager.

MilSys (UK) Ltd was named as the 'Business of the Year' at the Hereford and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce Awards.

The Chamber Awards took place at the Worcester Rugby Club on Thursday 21 June 2007.  Despite strong competition MilSys (UK) Ltd was the clear winner with the judges commenting on the Company's strong financial performance, strategic outlook and excellent planning.

Mike Moran, Managing Director,  briefed His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah at the BRIDEX exhibition on 28 May 2007.

The visit to the stand provided an opportunity for Mike to discuss with the Royal Party the proposal for a DRASH Role 2 medical facility for the Royal Brunei Land Forces.

MilSys (UK) Ltd has been awarded the British Chambers of Commerce Award for 'Britain's Most Promising New Business 2006'.

The award was sponsored by BT and presented to Mike Moran, Managing Director, MilSys (UK) Ltd, at the Old Naval College, Greenwich, on Thursday 23rd November 2006.  Mick Hegarty, Marketing Director, BT Business said " MilSys reminds us that there is no substitute for careful planning and an eye for an untapped opportunity when starting a business. More than this, they stand out for very strong financial performance and their commitment to supporting their local community. Britains Best at the British Chambers of Commerce Awards

MilSys (UK) Ltd has been awarded the Chamber of Commerce Award for 'Most Promising New Business 2006'. 

The award ceremony was held at Birtsmorton Court, Worcestershire on Thursday 8th June 2006. 

The judges noted that 'workforce development and a totally customer focused approach are what makes MilSys (UK) Ltd stand out'.

The success follows last year's event when MilSys (UK) Ltd won the award for 'Skills and Workforce Development'.  Mike Moran, Managing Director, says "we are all extremely proud of our success in developing the business.    Winning this award is recognition for all of the hard work put into the Company by all of the staff".

Medium Scale Headquarters

MilSys (UK) Ltd has recently delivered 'Confirmatory Training' following the delivery of three new Deployable Headquarters, one Medium Scale and two Small Scale.

The three Headquarters were designed, built and delivered within 9 weeks of the initial enquiry. 

Managing Director, Mike Moran, said "this is an important achievement for MilSys (UK) Ltd.  We have clearly demonstrated our capability to support our customers on short-notice projects.  Our DRASH Shelters have reduced one of our customer's deployment time from 14 days to 2 days which, in turn, reduces the logistic burden and the associated costs".

Small Scale Headquarters

Two Small Scale Headquarters were recently deployed in the village of Fownhope, Herefordshire, as part of a training exercise. 

The procurement of the two Small Scale Headquarters was a 'turnkey solution' providing the users with a rapidly deployable capability.

The Mayor of Hereford Makes a Speech at Open Day

The Right Worshipful The Mayor of Hereford, Councillor Mrs Marcelle Lloyd-Hayes makes a speech at the MilSys (UK) Ltd Open Day.

The Open Day was attended by forty guests from the International Community, British MoD and the local Emergency Services. 

The guests were treated to a display of the latest DRASH shelter Systems including a decontamination shelter capable of being deployed, complete with shower heads, in less than four minutes with four people.

MilSys (UK) Ltd is awarded the Skills and Worforce Development award at the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce Awards Dinner held at Worcestershire Cathedral on Thursday 21st July 2005.

The award (sponsored by Herefordshire and Worcestershire Learning and Skills Council) considers the company's approach to workforce development, any particularly successful initiatives, innovative methods for assessing skills requirements and the difference that commitment to workforce development has made to the business.

The judges felt that MilSys (UK) Ltd showed enormous passion, loyalty and energy for both its business and worforce and is truly a dynamic and inspirational business.

MD Mike Moran said "we are honoured to receive this prestigious award from the Chamber of Commerce.  All members of MilSys (UK) Ltd have worked tirelessley over the past 18 months to make MilSys the company it is today".

Oil and Gas Container

MilSys (UK) Ltd has secured a contract to build workshop containers for the oil and gas industry.

The containers are fitted out with high specification valve maintenance equipment in an explosion proof environment.

The containers are likely to be flown from platform to platform providing a service that could save the industry millions of dollars each year.

MD, Mike Moran, said "we are proud to have secured this contract it confirms our belief that we are one of the leading engineering firms in the country".
