Waste disposal technology is a growing market and MilSys (UK) Ltd's capabilities include the design and build of containers to house waste disposal equipment together with the integration of the associated power, compressed air and water distribution systems. The containers can be transported by land, sea or air. As part of this business development activity MilSys (UK) Ltd has won a contract from QinetiQ who are providing the design and fabrication of a PyTEC® Pyrolysis Waste Disposal System demonstration plant for the U.S. Army's Force Provider Base Camp. MilSys (UK) Ltd is responsible for the design and build of the three containers to house the thermal plant, energy capture and power generation sub-systems. These containers will be delivered to QinetiQ early in 2010. The potential for this technology is immense as it provides a means of reducing waste disposal for military operations as well as waste going into land fill sites. The additional benefit is the potential for some energy reclamation.
